About The Blog
Currently named Bridgette's Diary, creator Kathryn opened the site to the public in September of 2008 as a personal blog originally titled On Thin Ice. It has gone through much revamping, and has remained a personal blog for quirky moments and great irony in Kathryn's life.
Along with that, it has grown and expanded into much more. Placing focus on figure skating and the beauty of every day moments, it has become a place for fellow friends and teenagers to have a good laugh, learn how to cook simple recipes, donate to organizations personally picked by Kathryn herself, share the emotions expressed throughout the blog posts, and get some advice from someone who has possibly stood in their shoes.
The title Bridgette's Diary comes from two fictional characters: Bridgette Jonsen and Bridget Jones. Bridgette is a character in one of Kathryn's most beloved novels and provides the spelling, while Bridget Jones provides the concept: a girl overcoming battles, documenting the days of her life.
